Served 77-80 A-Gang under Chief Blodgett. If you take the tour you will find that the names have been removed from the galley ovens. They were Blodgett ovens. We removed the tags shortly after the new ovens were installed as a tribute to him....

FTG2. Served aboard TJ from Jan 1965 to Oct 1970. Lots of good memories. Four WesPac cruises. I was aboard when Mount 53 exploded from a hang fire. Lost 3 good friends and Gunners Mates that night. Will try to make the Bremerton reunion in 2014.

Went to 2012 reunion in Chalreston SC. Talked to many TJ veterans from the Tonkin Gulf incident. RADM Vasey - the investigating Officer sent a video tape to the reunion with the truth. Loved it!

It is sad of the passing of Captain Robert Barnhart. He held steadfast doing his job in finest naval tradition durning in the Tonkin Gulf Incident. If not, we all may not have been here to enjoy our lives - thanks Captain - God Speed.
